Founded by Dr. Maggie Gasiorova, MD, EM+ZEN is a physician-owned practice serving Upper Arlington, Delaware, and the greater Columbus, Ohio area. Double board-certified in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine, Dr. Gasiorova combines advanced medical expertise with an artistic eye to deliver natural-looking facial rejuvenation, facial balancing, regenerative aesthetic treatments, and precision lifestyle medicine.

Why I Do What I Do

For me, aesthetic medicine has always been about more than treating wrinkles or restoring volume—it is about celebrating beauty, confidence, and the freedom every person deserves to define both for themselves.

Long before I came to the United States, I planned to specialize in dermatology in Europe, drawn by a lifelong fascination with beauty, science, and medicine. Although my career took a different path, my passion for aesthetics never changed. It evolved into a physician-led approach that blends advanced medical knowledge with artistry, prevention, and whole-person wellness.

I understand the complex relationship many people, particularly women, have with aging. Society often celebrates youth while placing unrealistic expectations on appearance. I believe aesthetic medicine should never reinforce those pressures—it should empower people to make choices that reflect their own goals, values, and confidence.

My philosophy is simple: aesthetic medicine should never be about changing who you are or helping you fit someone else's standard of beauty. It should be about helping you become the healthiest, most confident version of yourself—on your own terms.

My Approach to Aging Beautifully

My background in Internal Medicine taught me to care for the whole person—not just a symptom. Today, I bring that same philosophy to aesthetic medicine, recognizing that skin quality, collagen health, hormones, nutrition, lifestyle, and overall wellness all influence how we age.

That is why my approach is rooted in prevention, regenerative medicine, and long-term wellness rather than quick fixes or temporary trends. Healthy skin, collagen preservation, facial balance, hormone optimization, and evidence-based lifestyle medicine all work together to support graceful aging. The most beautiful results are those that look effortless, natural, and uniquely yours.

Aesthetic medicine is constantly advancing, and I believe my patients deserve care that reflects the latest evidence, the highest safety standards, and the most refined techniques available. I have trained extensively with internationally recognized leaders throughout the United States, Europe, and the Middle East, including Arthur Swift, MD; Raj Acquilla, MD; Jani van Loghem, MD, PhD; Shino Bay Aguilera, DO; Zak Ally, MBChB; Julie Horne, RN; or Ayad Harb, MBBS, MD, BDS, FRCS. To further deepen my expertise, I have completed advanced physician cadaver dissection courses with Matt Stefanelli, MD, and Chris Surek, DO, FACS.

I continually pursue advanced education in facial anatomy, facial balancing, regenerative aesthetics, collagen and tissue revitalization, advanced injectable techniques, and minimally invasive facial rejuvenation—ensuring my patients benefit from the latest evidence-based innovations.

Physician-Led, Personalized Care

Unlike high-volume med spas, every consultation and every treatment at EM+ZEN is performed personally by Dr. Gasiorova.

I believe patients deserve time, honesty, education, and individualized treatment planning—not a one-size-fits-all approach. Sometimes that means recommending less treatment, staging a transformation over time, or even advising against a procedure altogether. My commitment is always to achieving the best long-term outcome, never simply performing another treatment.
